Another year is almost behind us and our supporters have again shown their determination to feed hungry people in northern Illinois. With your help, the Food Bank is distributing nearly 2 million pounds of food a month. Volunteers have logged well over 50,000 hours so far this year and, over the last few months, have assembled more than 27,000 Holiday Meal Boxes. These Holiday Meal Boxes provide a full meal, including turkey with all the fixings, for a family of eight and ensure that everyone in the community can enjoy the holidays. The Holiday Meal Boxes and the food distributed each month do more than just feed people; it provides hope. You have all made a difference in the lives of our hungry neighbors.
