Group Opportunities

The Rockford Area Branch can accommodate individual volunteers and groups of up to 40 people. Many organizations and companies find volunteering at NIFB an excellent team-building experience. Shifts are available on the following dates and times:

     -- Tuesday & Thursday: 9am-Noon
     -- Tuesday & Thursday: 1pm-4pm
     -- 1st & 3rd Wednesday: 6pm-9pm
     -- 2nd Saturday: 9am-Noon
     -- 4th Saturday: 9am-11am (Youth Shift)

Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age during regular shifts and 8 years of age during youth shifts to work in the warehouse. The week leading up to the 4th Saturday of the month is considered a youth week. During this week, volunteers can be as young as 8 years old. Youth under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

• Once a volunteer shift is scheduled complete the Individual Intake Form (PDF or Word) or Group Intake Form (PDF or Word) and return it to the Food Bank.

• Please arrive at the Food Bank 10-15 minutes early for your first shift.
