Youth & School Programs
NIFB's Lake County Branch can provide opportunities for kids to tour and volunteer at our facility in
Park City, Illinois. Children, 6th grade and older, are invited to help with various projects while contributing to society, and learning important lessons about hunger. Younger children are welcome to tour our facility while learning about hunger.
Are you an elementary or high school teacher interested in doing a volunteer
project and educating your students on issues of hunger? Come and spend the
morning volunteering in our warehouse. In addition to a 2-3 hour volunteer
session, your students can participate in a lesson on hunger. Take this
opportunity to introduce your students to hunger and poverty issues. To sign up contact NIFB's
Lake County Branch at 847.336.3663!
The Lake County Branch of NIFB can accommodate individual volunteers and
groups of up to 30 people. Many companies and organizations find volunteering at
NIFB an excellent team-building experience. For planning purposes, volunteers
must sign up in advance by contacting NIFB at 847.336.3663.
Groups of 15 to 30 are welcome to set up times to come to the Branch to
volunteer. For more information contact the Lake County Branch at 847.336.3663
