Northern Lake County CROP Walk 2006
October 15, 2006

What is the CROP WALK?
A 10 kilometer (6.2 mile) Walkathon involving people of all faiths, races, cultures and ages to help people who are victims of hunger, poverty, and other disasters. The route is carefully marked through northeast Waukegan and includes an area of historic and architecturally interesting homes. The sort route, for those who choose that option, is throughout the historic district. Bring the whole family!

Bring a can of fruit or vegetables, or other non-perishable food product for donation to St. Anastasia Church in Waukegan.

CROP WALKS provide a learning experience for walkers which invites walkers to reflect on their relative privilege, and exercise their hope toward a world that works for all. CROP WALKS are community-based fundraising events that raise money for local hunger-fighting agencies as well as the international relief and development efforts of Church World Service. This annual event is aimed at addressing hunger - locally and worldwide.
