Northern Illinois Food Bank works with many individuals, companies, and organizations to fulfill its mission to provide food to those in need. NIFB gathers donated food from retailers, manufacturers, corporations, and community resources and distributes it through a network of nonprofit food assistance sites in Boone, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, Ogle, Stephenson, Will, and Winnebago Counties.

Many people volunteer their time to process and pack donated food for delivery to food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and other food assistance sites. In addition, the Food Bank works with many organizations and committees to address the needs of low-income people in our community.
