For the sixth consecutive year, NIFB
received a "««««"
ranking from Charity Navigator, an
independent evaluator of charities. Only
2% of all charities received this
"Exceptional" 4-star rating for four
straight years from Charity Navigator. The
Food Bank spent 95 cents out of each
dollar on food assistance programs and
services. This efficiency enables NIFB
to make each dollar of support provide
more food for low-income people.

The award was announced in June 2009 and
is based on Fiscal 2008 information. NIFB anticipates maintaining its
four-star rating based on the percent of
expenses incurred for fundraising and
administration versus program investment
in Fiscal 2009. |
