Northern Illinois Food Bank operates on a membership basis; however, there is no membership fee to become part of the agency network. Any non-profit organization located within our 13 county service area interested in becoming a member of Northern Illinois Food Bank needs to:

Provide food at no charge to those in need

Complete a membership application

Provide verification of charitable, non-profit status (usually by providing documentation of 501(c)(3) status)

Pass an initial site inspection (annual thereafter)

Follow guidelines outlined in the NIFB Agency Policy and Procedures manual

Attend an orientation session
